Question No 3

Explain Zanshin in kendo.

Zanshin is defined as; not losing concentration after a cut; being prepared for any counter attack from your opponent; maintaining mental focus and correct posture (kamae).

Cuts without Zanshin, even if they are sound cuts, are lacking in a condition of Yuko-datotsu (valid strike/thrust), and are therefore not Ippon.

A fairly easy one!
